An opportunity exists in Generation Supply Chain/Materials Management group for a Warehouse Attendant at our Poplar Creek Facility located north of Fort McMuray on Suncor Site. The successful candidate will be responsible for particular aspects of the day-to-day operations of the Warehouses as assigned. This includes issuing and receiving material, physical inventory counts, processing returned material, and the cleanliness and upkeep of the buildings and exterior storage areas.

Provide input/recommendations for the enhancement of inventory control processes,and be able to elevate business issues to the appropriate levels for resolution.

• Material issuing, receiving, and reservation management. 
• Preforming daily cycle counts on inventory and reporting on any issues.
• Organizing the warehouse in the most efficient structure.
• Assist TransAlta clients with locating and issuing inventory
• Assist in disposal of obsolete and surplus material
• Maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of buildings and external storage areas
• Assist in assigned projects directly related to warehousing and inventory functions

• A professional and enthusiastic person who is a self-starter, pro-active and accepts accountability and responsibility
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Be results focused with a positive"can do"attitude
• Excellent computer skills and knowledge with proven efficiency in Microsoft Excel,Word,etc.
• Preference will be given those with SAP and Lotus Notes experience
• Must be physically fit and be able to lift upwards of 50 lbs. without assistance
• 3-5 Years experience of warehouse operations, including issuing and receiving material, performing physical inventory counts and processing returned material
• Preference will be given to those individuals who have completed Warehouse Basic Certification or are commitment to attain this certification within 2 years,other certifications will also be considered
• Applicants must possess a high school diploma
• Must have a valid class 5 Alberta Drivers Licence
