Legal Counsel
Major Responsibilities Include:
- Providing commercial-based legal advice to diverse business units and senior management;
- Negotiating and drafting commercial agreements of various types; and
- Managing and supervising external legal counsel;
Qualifications & Experience:
- Member of the Law Society of Alberta
- 4 or more years of commercial legal experience at a top-level firm or company
- Extensive corporate/commercial experience in addition to experience in some of the following areas of practice:
- construction and/or engineering;
- power generation, transmission & distribution;
- environmental;
- technology and intellectual property;
- health and safety;

- have a strong desire to be involved in the success of the business by providing legal advice from the beginning of a transaction through the full life cycle of the resulting business operations;
- have a thorough approach to every aspect of work;
- have excellent communications skills;
