Key Commodity Manager FACTS-JR-PEP-09-012

AREVA T&D is currently seeking a Key Commodity Manager for is FACTS product lineThe Key Commodity Manager  will Organize, plan, supervise and control the sourcing of R&D / Project / Production purchase, within the Sourcing Strategy of the Business activities and the Sub Product Line instructions. Objective to provide the Units in PET/PEP with the preferred suppliers  at the right cost, the right time and the right quality whilst complying with AREVA Values and executing  in an ethical manor through the following:
 
 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following by are not limited to:
 
1  Sourcing Strategy
Participate in the definition of the SYS Sourcing Strategy, analyze, propose, recommend and implement the Unit Sourcing Action Plans, in order to optimize the cost, quality and delivery of purchase.
Develop clear purchasing strategies (2-4years) for all commodity areas through the Purchasing Administrators and Sourcing  Coordinators within other Product Line units.
Implement a structured commodity management process and  work to adapt sourcing infrastructure with the Product Line Sourcing and logistics Director for HVDC FACTS accordingly.
Secure global supply chain capacity for growth and protect against supply chain capacity constraints, and financial exposure.
Develop, document and implement robust operating processes:
1. Supplier Selection / Approval
2. Effective Commodity Management
3. Contract Management
4. Supplier and Areva APQP Production Readiness
5. Supplier Performance Measurement using QD(A2) C
6. Supplier Relationship Management
Reduce the Total Acquisition Cost (TAC) of current bought out product and services.
2   Frame agreements
Participate in the preparation, negotiation and implementation of Business strategy, analyze, prepare, negotiate and implement Unit F.A, in order to reduce the cost of  the delivered goods and services
3   Sourcing development (at Unit level)
Search, select, qualify and propose the most competitive suppliers for technical goods, in order to reach the SYS Sourcing and the Unit's QCD targets
4   Sourcing Data
Produce, analyze and provide the Product line / SYS Sourcing  and the Unit Managing Director with the Unit's Sourcing indicators, in order to pilot Business Sourcing Strategy and Unit Action Plans
5   Strategic Sourcing Support
Support Sourcing and Logistics Director PL / SYS Key Commodity Management structure with Resources / Intelligience / Statistics / Proposals to enable the implementation of global sourcing strategy.
6    New products
Within the SYS Sourcing and Unit sourcing teams, using the Suppliers' intelligence, participate in analyzing, advising and supporting new products definition, in order to minimize cost and maximize quality and thus satisfy the Customer
7    Team Management (where/if  applicable)
Hire, train, motivate and evaluate the people in the Team, in order to provide the Unit with the needed Sourcing competencies and performance
8    Commercial Support
Participate, formalize sourcing strategy with commercial departments to support global tender / project activity, in territory when required. Gather business intelligence from supply network to facilitate commercial awareness. Provision of tender tools
9. Risk Management
Perform risk analysis and implement risk mitigation actions on all key suppliers with priority to the top 10 sourced suppliers and those identified at risk from the Vendor risk analysis
10. Budget (Process)
Define and Implement a systematic process to assess commodity forecast spend and identification of TAC opportunities whilst recognizing the influence of raw material, currency
11. Supplier Quality
Acceptance Criteria: Ensure that all suppliers have agreed product quality and functional acceptance criteria to AREVA PES requirements.
 Supplier Manual A supplier manual detailing how AREVA wish to trade and what is expected of their supplier's is put in place and distributed to all supplier's

Qualifications
 
All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity.  Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher level position.
 
Minimum Education and Experience:
  • Industrial or Electrical Engineer with 5 to 10 years experience in industrial Sourcing OR University degree in Economics, Marketing or Law + 5 to 10 years experience of industrial Sourcing, post graduate in industrial Sourcing preferred.
  •  Experience in people management and preferably work experience  in different cultures.
Specific knowledge :
  • Advanced Sourcing Methods

Business understanding :          

  •    Good knowledge of the Company's operations & of the European marketplace (for EU countries)
  •    Good understanding of international Business
